About CR Practice

“There are those in the world who believe miracles do not happen. I can assure such skeptics that they do.

With hope and faith as beacons, anything can happen.”

(The Missing Link)

CR Practice is based on the teachings of Sydney Banks, also known as the Three Principles.

Sydney Banks was an ordinary man from Scotland whose profound insight in 1973 led him to share a simple understanding about the nature of human experience.

His teachings went on to influence people around the world — including psychologists, educators, parents, therapists, practitioners and individuals simply looking for a different way forward.

Chana discovered this understanding years later.

It changed the way she saw herself, her relationships and her life.

And CR Practice grew from her desire to share that possibility with others.

Not as a belief system.

Not as another method for self-improvement.

But as an invitation to listen and see for yourself.

HISTORY OF THE THREE PRINCIPLES

In 1973, Sydney Banks, a Scottish welder who had left school at fourteen, had an insight that would change the way many people understood the human mind.

He had no psychological training. What he saw was that our entire experience of life is created from the inside out, through three principles he called Mind, Consciousness and Thought. That observation has since been shared with parents, prisoners, teachers, therapists and ordinary people around the world.

THE THREE PRINCIPLES

Mind

The formless energy behind life itself. Not something to believe in, simply something that is already at work in everyone.

Thought

The ability to be aware, and to create an experience of a world around us

Consciousness

The creative gift that shapes moment to moment experience. The ability to feel our thinking and bring it to life.

Together, they describe how experience is formed. Nothing needs to be managed or corrected. Understanding alone tends to settle the mind, and a settled mind experiences life more gently.
